Shashank Singh, Priyansh Arya, Pyla Avinash, and Vishal Nishad were among the players who participated in the sessions, which were designed to increase their physical and mental preparedness for the forthcoming domestic season and the subsequent IPL campaign.
Punjab Kings concluded a four-day off-season conditioning camp in Bengaluru on September 17. The franchise had been conducting the program in collaboration with Stance Health since September 14.
The Bengaluru program prioritized comprehensive athletic readiness over match-specific abilities. Structured nutrition plans, advanced recovery techniques, targeted mobility exercises, and customized strength and conditioning routines were all included in the sessions. The design assisted players in the identification of physical benchmarks, the management of workload, and the development of injury prevention strategies.
The Bengaluru camp was the franchise’s second such initiative this year, as reported by the press. The team’s New Chandigarh base had previously hosted a skill-based camp from August 11 to 15. Punjab Kings plans to conduct additional specialized camps at a variety of locations throughout the country in the upcoming months as part of a structured preparation cycle in anticipation of the upcoming IPL season. Shashank Singh, an all-rounder, expressed the significance of the daily routine to the team.
What was the daily program schedule?
The camp adhered to a structured rhythm that ensured a balance between physical exertion and recuperation on each day. Mobility exercises and gym training were the primary focus of the morning sessions, while conditioning drills were the focus of the afternoons. The evenings concluded with therapeutic recovery sessions and pool time. Additionally, the format provided an opportunity for team camaraderie that was distinct from competitive cricket.

Shashank also contemplated the more extensive commitment that is necessary at this level. He observed that, despite the fact that the IPL is often perceived as a three-month tournament, players at the highest level must approach it as a twelve-month commitment, requiring them to address fitness, nutrition, and training well in advance of the season.
In what manner did Priyansh Arya evaluate the franchise’s year-round support?
Priyansh Arya emphasized that Punjab Kings provides logistical and administrative support to its athletes at all times, not just during the IPL window. He particularly recognized the franchise’s capacity to mobilize training facilities in numerous cities at short notice. He also discussed the increasing significance of recovery in contemporary cricket and the quality of facilities at the Bengaluru camp.
